The Work Behind the Method

Why the Millings Method Exists

The Millings Method emerged from work involving institutional decision reconstruction, evidentiary continuity, and the need to distinguish underlying facts from changing representations.

A foundational applied demonstration is Boxing In the VA, which examines a longitudinal history of veterans’ benefits decisions, records, and subsequent correction activity.

This work demonstrates the importance of preserving original evidence, identifying contradictions, examining decision authority, and determining whether prior conclusions remain justified.

The Method extends these principles into broader questions involving governance, institutional decision-making, research, and responsible execution.

Authorship & Human Responsibility

Human Authority Remains Central

Frederick Redditt is the originating author and Human Lead of the Millings Method.

The Method is human-authored and human-governed. Artificial intelligence may assist with research retrieval, drafting, comparison, formatting, and production, but it does not replace human authorship, responsibility, or final authority.

The distinction is essential: technology may support the work, but decisions about meaning, validity, publication, and legitimate execution remain under human governance.

The governing principle

Publish the invariant. Govern the implementation. Preserve the provenance.
